Summer Fashion Fun

Believe it or not, I’m still wearing my jeans and button down shirts from my fall post! I guess that either makes me a classic dresser or…a really busy girl. But when it comes to summer, there are a few extra items that will do well in anyone’s closet. These pieces can be mixed and matched for a beautiful, summery style.

I’m about to leave for a few days away in Nantucket, New York, and California. What to pack?

For starters, I can’t live (let alone travel) without my classic fedora. I don’t think it’ll ever go out of style! What goes with a fedora? Bangles. I’m pairing most of my summer outfits with yellow gold hoops and bangles to play up the shimmery reflection of the sun.

I’ll sneak a few Bohemian pieces into my suitcase like a chiffon maxi dress. What could be more effortless and comfortable in the hot summer months than this navy one from H&M? It’s breezy and effortless.

It’s no secret that off-the-shoulder tops are very trendy this season. That and any white lace dress really bring a romantic touch.

To pair with your off-the-shoulder top, try white jeans and a long fringe, tassel necklace like this one from Nordstrom. You can pair almost any top with white jeans and look great and stylish.

Beige open-toed sandals or espadrilles are smart in color, easily fit into my carry-on suitcase and go with all outfits, day or night.

My Louis Vuitton (Neverfull tote) serves as my go-to summer travel bag as well as my purse!

And I’m off!

P.S. Remember, the key to an effortless summer look is carry-on luggage! Over-packing is never a good look.
