Where will your NEXT home be?

15 years ago, when I first started doing business in Los Angeles, I lived at the Peninsula Hotel. I loved the staff service, amenities and our driver Max. The manager had my bedding monogrammed and decorated my tables with fresh flowers, pears and apples (my favorite!) whenever I arrived.

My suite was small but charming, luckily I had room to entertain in my living room. I loved the French doors and the elegant finishes in the 5 point bathroom (tip: a 5 point bathroom includes a bathtub, separate shower, double bowl vanity and toilet). Being an apartment developer, I took notes on how to improve our company’s service in order to give our tenants an ‘experience’.

This year, Fifield Companies unveiled NEXT Apartments in 3 cities!

NEXT in Chicago is opening this September at 347 West Chestnut in River North, NEXT on Sixth in Koreatown, Los Angeles is opening next year at the corner of 6th and Virgil, and NEXT on Lex is opening in 2018 in Glendale, Los Angeles.

Check out NEXT on Lex Groundbreaking in the news!

At NEXT, we have one bedroom apartments that have 5 point bathrooms with Grohe water faucets, gorgeous floor to ceiling windows and walk-in closets. My hotel rooms NEVER had that!  Today we even build out closets for organization. The NEXT brand is sleek, elegant, and smart. Rather than a car and driver, all of NEXT Apartments are located close to the train no matter what city you choose. We have the latest technology, roof decks, bike storage, conference rooms, computer lounges, secure package handling and a concierge so you hear all about the happenings in town as well as feel welcome when you arrive home. We also have a maintenance team on site so you can work, live and play without waiting at home for deliveries or repairs. Each NEXT home is programmed so you can control your home from your phone. What could be better?

Our onsite managers really go the extra mile to make sure your experience is special. They host wine and cheese tastings, chili cook-offs, and Super Bowl parties to get our residents together and have a good time. Tenants look at our building as not only their home, but as their country club, work space and home all in one.

Each NEXT development is truly unique.

In Chicago, you‘ll find the sweetest Newfoundland, Daisy, as our resident house dog. She is available for your tickles and kisses and will share her dog spa with other pet owners, as all of our units are pet and child friendly. Our NEXT in Koreatown is home to Target on the ground floor for the ultimate in convenience! NEXT on Lex is just steps away from The Brand shopping mall and will be comprised of 4 buildings ALL with unique amenities such as a golf simulator, gym, pool, and outdoor roof decks with grilling stations and expansive mountain views.

Over the last 12 years, America has changed its perception of home buying.

When moving to a new city or leaving the suburbs, renting allows more time for viewing lifestyles and neighborhoods. A benefit of renting is avoiding the taxes and large amenity costs. Most condos can’t compete with the amount of amenity space available due to the cost of building maintenance.

The select few like Warren Beatty, Robert DeNiro, Keanu Reeves and business people like Howard Hughes chose to live in a hotel for the service and efficiency. They have an unlimited budget but when you think about all they get for their money, it’s probably a wise decision. Cooks, maids, bellman, all without the commitment of having to pay individuals for their service.

Today most people don’t have a butler, maid, cook or a doorman. At NEXT Apartments, you can live well with all the service and amenities in your own apartment home without a large hotel price tag. Even better you CAN enjoy a stay-cation there too!

Your NEXT experience is waiting…what do you want next? Where do you want to live next? If you live at NEXT you’re right next door to everything!
