Party On!

Cupcakes, flowers, friends, kids, holidays, birthdays, graduations, company celebrations… I love to celebrate life!

The good news is, it’s easy! And making people feel special doesn’t have to cost much money at all. A hug, a smile, or a kind note of appreciation are simples ways to celebrate a moment. Here are a few creative ways to add color, pop, and fun, should you desire to go just a little further to party on!

The least expensive way is to go to The Dollar Store and get creative – a bag of confetti goes a long way for a buck! I used this for Samantha’s graduation party and every table sparkled! Add a bright tablecloth or napkins, or look online for place cards to make; party favors like poppers can also instantly add color.

For Steve’s birthday, I found standing storm troopers from Star Wars to stand on the dance floor. A fun holiday idea is matching pajamas, or at Halloween, decorate the outside of your home for people you don’t even know to enjoy!

Food can also be a festive centerpiece for birthdays, Easter, or a dinner party cocktails. The presentation of cupcakes, fruit, or even dinner can be a feast of color and fun for the eye!

For our company picnic, on National Friendship Day, I hired a small petting zoo to entertain both kids and adults. A sloth, chicks, and chinchillas made us laugh, but a pig stole the show!

For summer birthday celebrations this year, we are going tubing and doing a sunset sail/fishing trip.

Sometimes I make the food myself, but when entertaining for 50 or 60 people, a local grocery store can prepare and deliver a nice spread. This makes everything much easier.

Get creative – breakfast, lunch and dinner can be creative in a pinch. Make faces on pancakes, serve pizza for breakfast and eggs for dinner…why not?

I used to send love notes in my kids lunches!!

Inspiration cards can be conversation starters, or a game or fortune cookies make after dinner a night to remember! If you have a fireplace make s’mores!!

One way I try not to get overwhelmed with gifts and shopping is by having a present closet and shopping year around to avoid crowds at holiday time.

Little things can make a huge difference and over the top parties or events can be just as delightful.

In all you do remember this – people may forget your words but they will never forget when you made them feel special!

All my love,

Randy
